Description
Each spring the Texas highways come alive with an abundance of wildflowers. You can see them in the country out side of the cities too. Years ago President Johnson's wife, lady Bird, started a Beautify America Champaign by encouraging the states to plant their wildflowers along the highways. These are in Austin, Texas. The blue ones are called bluebonnets and they are our state wildflower. The red one are called Indian Paint Brush. There are a number of varities of yellow ones

This is such an unusual composition Linda, and also very colorful. I like the placement of the signpost, which even though a small part of the scene, commands a lot of attention as the eye is irresistibly drawn to it. Nice work, Linda! L
