Description
There are prat of a long row of ram sphinex that are on either side of theentry to tha Karnak Temple in Luxor, Eghpt. Quite a few of them have lost their heads. I did find this group with most of the heads still in place. Here you can see the details in this closer view of part of them. Each one has a small figure under it's chin and between the paws which has the name of Rameses II on it. The curve in the horns and the rams head are a symbols of the God Amun for whom the temple was built.
