Description
In Exodus 5:7 in the Bible the pharaoh added further opression to the Isrealites by making them have to gather their own straw for making bricks to build many cities for him. At this time his name is not known. It could have been Thutmose. Thutmose III was the pharaoh at the time of the Exodus. After Mose killed the Egyptian he flead for 40 years befor the Exodus took place.
These bricks show how the straw was mixed in to the meaterial used for making the brick. The straw acted as a binding agent to help hold the brick together.
