The original color of this art work is a strong red-orange, It has a bit of a mysterious spooky appearance, so I decided to change it to this dark chocolate brown. The eyes are part of abalone shell. This artwork was on a real aborigine meeting house in New Zealand, The greeting of an aborigine is done by opening the mouth wide and sticking our the tongue as far as it will go! You can see that depicted in the carving.

Linda Phelps lives in Austin, Texa s. Linda started to study the art of photography in the late 1980s. She started with the first digital camera that came on the market and continues working to improve her art. She has earned awards in local, national and international competitions. She has written tutorials and articles for the web on photography.
