Thank you Daniel for your remark about this old car full of cactus. I am sorry to say it is no longer there. It is important to capture what you like before the sight is gone. People love to see the older photography from the turn of the early 1900s and on.

Thank you Deborah for your comment on this image. You can find some funky things here un Austin. I have a photo of a restaurant with a big red fish the covers the whole corner of the building, The fish is wearing sunglasses!

Artist's Description

This image won 4th place in an international photographic contest! I even have a copy of the book in which it was printed. It was fun to win the prize money! This scene was captured outside a tattoo parlor. This is now an image from Austin's past, The car, cactus and mural are no longer there.

Linda Phelps

Linda Phelps lives in Austin, Texa s. Linda started to study the art of photography in the late 1980s. She started with the first digital camera that came on the market and continues working to improve her art. She has earned awards in local, national and international competitions. She has written tutorials and articles for the web on photography. She presented a seminar on how to make creative images in a photo convention sponsored by the Gulf Coast Camera Club Council which covers a 5 state area. Linda has a strong interest in creative photography that takes an image out of the normal range of a photograph into the realm creative images. Recently she has moved on from fine art photography to making fantastic artistic abstracts....
